Mecaplús has been nominated in the "new product of the year" category in the international aerial sector awards.
On 24 February, after the judging panel in London, the finalist’s names for the IAPAawards (International Awards for Powered Access) were published. This was the first international award specifically dedicated to the aerial access sector, organised byIPAF (International Powered Access Federation), in collaboration with its official magazine Access International.
Mecaplús, the only Spanish company to appear among the finalists , presented its candidature for the "Access International Award for new product of the year", with its MTP12 model and its innovative system for static and dynamic automatic levelling (while moving). The system offers great opportunities to work continually at heights with the chassis completely level on an incline of up to 30%.
Among the five finalists for this important award, whose selection process was based on technical excellence, innovation and potential market value criteria, were leading names including JLG, Genie, Edmonlift y Niftylift.
The awards ceremony took place on 2 April, 2009 in Dublin (Ireland), after the IPAF Summit (the annual IPAF meeting).
